I have some trouble with the story, myself.  The only story which is really disturbing is from the woman who described the sexual encounter.  If he did that, it seems likely he would have also done this with others--that's the way pedophiles work.  The other three stories from the other women are more credible--and, while distasteful, do not rise to the level of her story.

In the past--yes, 40 years ago, it was not unusual for a man in his thirties to marry an 18 year old.  If you ever look at genealogy, you are likely to find that in your family tree.  Do I like it or think it is a good thing?  No.  But, it was not unusual.  A fourteen year old is a far different story, however.  That's a dealbreaker--but, somehow, it just does not ring true.

I don't like Moore and would not have voted for him.  But, Alabama voters do not support the policies of Doug Jones(a good man) and that is a dilemma.

Democrats voted for Bill Clinton when there were lots of stories out there about him.  Stories that included sexual assault.  Why did they vote for him?

FINALLY, a post from a sane, thoughtful person.  I agree with you - I'm certainly not defending Moore (if, indeed, these stories are true).  But that's the question - are they true?  They seem to be, and I'm pretty sure Moore's a skeevy kind of guy.  There's a difference between defending something despicable and questioning its veracity.  [/quote]
