The ball (and puck) are in Virginia’s hands now.  Also, what are the District residents willing to give up to keep the teams, especially with a very bleak economic outlook?

There's no way the NBA would allow a team in Montreal after what happened in Vancouver.  There are already plans to expand in Vegas and Seattle, bringing the league to 32 teams.  Now, the Wizards could move to Seattle and the DMV gets a new expansion team (like the Browns/Ravens in the NFL), but I don't see why anyone would want that.[/quote]
