In addition to the Univ. of California Board of regents endowment, the University of california at Berkeley has a separate endowment fund of $2.65 billion.

If the Texas & Texas A&M system wide endowments are set aside, Stanford has the 4th largest endowment, while Notre Dame has the 8th largest endowment. Both Stanford and Notre Dame could afford to get by with little to no athletic related media revenue.[/quote]

The board of regents is the whole Cal system. If Berkeley is allowed to tap it to replace Pac 12 revenue, then UCSD, Irvine, Riverside... are going to demand the same amount of money. [/quote]
