How does Capital work play time? Hearing they make sure girls get play time and looks when their desired college coaches attend games.
I hear it’s generally 50/50 since their concern is not about the record. Good for development and they will be seen by the girls’ coach/school of interest especially when they are watching.
It will be interesting to see if this holds true for Capital for 2028's this summer. They are not in the top 2 brackets for the tournaments that matter due to their ranking. It is a delicate balance for coaches to give equal playing time but also be competitive in games so that the team is in the top brackets where most coaches will be watching. Capital is still a good brand name and coaches go to lower brackets to see players they are interested in, but if equal playing time will cause the team to fall further in the rankings they may have to reconsider.
The 27's are in the same boat, and probably on an outer field as a kicker. Capital seems ok with their new standing, so they'll probably just ask you to trust the process (at a lesser school).
Colgate here we come!
Capital has one player on Colgate. Capital also has players on Northwestern, BC and UNC (Hero’s has none) and these players receive more playing time than M&D Black players. Capital has players on other top 25 teams beyond these programs, including Yale, Virginia, Princeton, Hopkins, JMU, Penn, Michigan, Brown, Denver, UMass and Harvard.
We're talking about the future and what it holds for players in the last several Capital classes and beyond. This is the 2029 thread.
