I find Christianity highly unlikely.  My take, pre-Jesus God was an angry, jealous god, but then he sent his child to Earth, we killed him, and not only killed him, but torturously killed him, and then god all the sudden turns nice and forgiving.  Doesn't make much sense to me.  Plus god made a big deal about not worshiping other gods, and then sends god-like Jesus to the earth?  Again, doesn't make sense to me.[/quote]

I'm no psychology expert, but googling cognitive dissonance a key part seems to be mental discomfort.  That is not me at all for this.  Not knowing doesn't bother me.  I don't worry about it. [/quote]
