The reality is we’re all afraid of someone with an AR-15. Asking small police forces to confront a shooter with a military weapon is not fair. They are to blame for the poor response but never should have had this responsibility to begin with. Those weapons should be banned.  [/quote]

Are you kidding? That’s literally THEIR JOB. That town is sending 45% of their budget on their cowardly cops. The AR-15 they all were carrying, their bulletproof vests and their shields are not toys, they were purchased to be used in situations like this. An off duty border patrol officer went in with a barber’s shotgun. Give the guns to the parents and get out of the way.
