What's wrong with that?[/quote] If it's true that they are giving full athletic scholarships (which could well be, but DCUM isn't always accurate), it is too bad because it distorts the playing field. In college, there is transparency about awarding scholarships so schools can choose what Division to play in (or league, in the case of the Ivy League). For high school, to have some schools quietly giving large athletic scholarships (SJC would not be the only one -- I know it happens at other schools, just not how widespread) really distorts the landscape. It would also be nice if schools could reserve their money for families with financial need.[/quote]
