Her dad and I went to college, as did our parents. I have no reason to believe that she will not go to college. If she doesn't want to go to college, I'm sure she will do something that requires an application essay, and she can use this experience for that. [/quote]

No, but I managed to write a good essay anyway. This experience is not going to prevent DD from going to college. Some of the kids she is in class with will not go to college, but that will not be solely because of the school they attend. There will be other factors, many of which are not things that DD has to overcome.
