They spoke maybe two sentences to me the entire time we were there. On the last night, MIL sat next to me in a lovely restaurant and did not say a single word to me or to her four grandchildren. She turned her back to me and spoke only to her son, DH. And I could hear her complaining about the food, which was "weird". Her favorite restaurant is Red Lobster.
