In response to those saying those who don't love the DC food scene need to get and travel more, I travel often around the world and the US. The reality is that high-end restaurants continue to thrive serving just OK food with subpar service since there is a lot of money / expense accounts and customers who continue to patronize middling restaurants claiming to be high end. The fact that most food critics/writers are lemmings lapping up whatever new shiny restaurant is opening doesnt help either. OP is correct in that so many high-end places here are overhypped for lackluster food and service. [/quote]
