I think the staffer was fired due to the [i]appearance of[/i] impropriety, regardless of whether or not the breach was actually substantial or not.

Meanwhile, there has been zero actual evidence presented that the Sanders campaign ever got detailed voter data, and in fact the evidence appears to support that it was only summary-level info, given the statements made thus far and the audit which shows very short timelines involved - I don't see how it would even be possible for them to have downloaded any substantial number of records or detailed data.  The firewall was only down for 40 minutes and the logged transactions which appear to show the accesses happened in a minute or less each time.  I've been in IT for a long time, and you generally can't query and extract millions of records from a remote system in less than a minute from even major national systems.[/quote]
