"One path to God" PP here. That comment further digs 15:22 into a hole: even by moderate interpretations of the Quran which allow for Christians and Jews to enter into Paradise under certain situations, that entry is dependent on the Christian/Jew being a Faithful practitioner. Clearly the Quran indicates that those Christians and Jews who practice their faith based on altered versions of the Torah or Bible are deemed Unfaithful by Allah - multiple verses of the Quran references this point. It's a frequent claim by Muslims that the truth, perfection, and beauty of Islam comes in no small part from the accuracy with which the Quran has been preserved. If Muslims believe the modern Torah and Bible to have been altered, then all of its practitioners are Unfaithful by definition as directed in the Quran. A Muslim might argue now that the Quran also regard the Torah and Bible as "valid", and not corrupted. But bear in mind that the Quran was written in year 609, and there might have been an authoritative Torah and Bible at the time that the Quran recognized as valid. But it is the claim of modern Muslims that these documents are no longer faithful to their original versions.
I see no new points that you are making here. I already said before that Christians and Jews who are following the corrupted versions of their respective religions are not barred from entering Heaven. If they do good deeds and they did not know they were in sin, they will not be doomed to hell.
You can't be serious. The Quran clearly states that those who follow corrupted versions of Torah and Bible are Unfaithful and therefore will go to hell. Even if this point is in dispute, Christians don't believe salvation can be obtained through doing good deeds and being sin free and in fact Christian theology teaches that all people are sinners - they know this they are sinners, and they know they cannot be redeemed by doing good, with redemption and salvation only possible by accepting Jesus as their savior. So if your standard of being doomed to hell requires simply that Christians know that they are in sin, that means *all* Christians are going to hell.
I'm perfectly serious. It shouldn't be in dispute because it's in black and white in the Quranic verse. So I publish the Quranic verse yet again: Quran 2:62: Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve. Quran 5:69: Those who believe (in the Qur’an), those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Sabians and the Christians,- any who believe in God and the Last Day, and work righteousness,- on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve Quran 21:94: Whoever works any act of righteousness and has faith,- His endeavour will not be rejected: We shall record it in his favour. As for being "sin-free", I don't think I ever said the Quran expects people to be sin free, did I? I said that in Islam, intention is key. Unintentional sinful acts may be forgiven in Islam. Intentional sins will incur punishments but if people repent sincerely, they will still be forgiven. The individual is expected to try to reflect upon his actions in life, learn from his behavior, and show love for mankind by doing good deeds. This is the way to God's grace. And the Muslim is required to love not only Jesus, but all prophets, because they all delivered this same message.
