I always assumed that the primary reason was to protect women from being attacked by men. You know, kind of the way that people are saying that men will dress up as women and attack women in the women's locker room. And then the secondary reason was to protect women from being seen by people who have a sexual interest in women's bodies -- back when we pretended that everybody was heterosexual. [/quote]
