I have had the seasonal flu shot regularly for many years and had such in early October and have never had an allergic reaction to such.
I also have never had an allergic reaction to any food and have not added anything new to my diet that I am aware of.
But what was bothersome, is that I started coming down with cold/flu symptoms (aches, cough, bronchitus) the day after the flu shot.
I believe this is simply coincidence, but wonder whether, at the time of the flu-shot, I was already infected with H1N1 and the H1N1 proteins in the shot triggered the allergic reaction. Therefore, I can't tell for sure whether the allergic reaction was from the H1N1 or whatever other cold/flu virus I picked up.
However, my bet is that the allergic reaction was to the H1N1 shot.

I did report this at the VAERS website.
