Because overall Stanford admits more like 6%.[/quote] Yes, these are the early numbers. Last year, Stanford had an overall admit rate of 5.1% and an early decision admit rate of 10.8%. When you crunch the numbers, Stanford only admitted 3.9% of last year's regular decision applicants. The early decision admit rate is already down and those other figures will almost certainly be lower this year as well.[/quote]
