NOT across the entire school (and yes, you could attend and not encounter it) but this element does exist across some grades. I'm not imagining it and I did not experience it at our NW DC preschool. For instance, one of my children was invited to at least a half dozen birthday parties this year where only about 8/12 of the same gender kids in a class were invited--and it's ALWAYS the same kids who are invited and the same ones who are not. I shudder to say this but thankfully my child is among those in the "cool group". [/quote][/quote]
