There is nothing mature about believing in fairy tales. I am sorry.
Why do you bother responding in the religion forum when someone is asking how to be closer/get to know Jesus?
This. It's extremely immature to waste hours upon hours being snarky to total strangers about a subject you don't even care about. You're clearly in it for the thrill of abusing people. THAT'S immature.
What is snarky about saying it's not mature to believe in fairy tales?
np. You don't see how this is not conducive for dialogue?
not really -- a response could be "how do you think religion is like fairy tales?" and a discussion could ensue from there.
C'mom, nobody's going to feed a troll that easily. We all know you're itching for a cue to start in with the comparisons to Santa and fairies at the bottom of the garden. However, if we weren't convinced you're a troll, we could suggest better responses. For example, a good response would be to compare biblical sources compared to the Brothers Grimm, who we know for sure are modern story tellers. But the fundamental question is, why are you so rude in the first place? Why not make an intelligent and thoughtful challenge to religion? There are many possible challenges to religion that are intelligent and thoughtful. But apparently you're too lazy to do any actual thinking, beyond cheap insults.
I agree. There is room here for discussion, and although it would bring challenges and discomfort there are those who would welcome it. What is tiresome is the drive-by put-down.
