Why doesn't anyone mention Timber Lane? It feeds into McLean, as well.
Because they are afraid of the brown people who don;t speak English. The other McLean parents are busy trying to get Timber Lane redistricted to Falls Church HS to get the minority and low SES'ers out.
BS. I've seen a few threads from people here noting that those neighborhoods are closer to Marshall and Falls Church than to McLean, which is true. It's also the case that, if there is a lot of growth in Tysons closer to McLean and Marshall, it might make sense to consider moving the half of Timber Lane that goes to McLean to Falls Church, which has the lowest enrollment of any high school in the county, just as FCPS may decide to move other parts of McLean and Marshall to Langley. But no one is currently trying to get Timber Lane redistricted. If McLean parents were as hostile to diversity as you suggest, Timber Lane would never have been assigned to the McLean pyramid. And there are people who seek out the McLean pyramid because it has more SES diversity than the Langley pyramid. That would largely be lost if all of Timber Lane was moved to Falls Church.
