My 13-yr old DD just went through the application process, and she put a lot of time, effort, and emotional energy into it. The reward for that effort is that we will send her to her first-choice school if she gets in. I would never have encouraged her to apply to a school I knew we could not afford. What is the point of that?[/quote]
