I wold assume that some of the people on the bus were struck and immediately killed. They turned and attacked the others on the bus. Also, the bus was full of sick and older people. Some may have escaped the bus and later attacked on the road by walkers i also think that the kid's shoe Beth saw in the road belonged to the little boy that got on the bus. So he and others made it off, but were eaten. Just my guess of course, since it wasn't explained. [/quote]
