I think this thread derailed when a North Arlington poster started crapping on the AAP programs in FCPS, which quite honestly rubs me the wrong way when so many people in North Arlington send their kids to lily white schools, while at the same time tolerating the extreme concentration of low-income and minority students in other county schools like Hoffman-Boston. If there were more schools in Arlington with the diversity typical in much of Fairfax, I think you'd quickly see those same white parents asking for more differentiated instruction along the FCPS model. It seems to be a case of wanting to have one's white bread and eat it, too. [/quote] ha, white parents in arlington don't want to compete, but they claim all their children are above average. the asian parents know life isnt that easy and want more demanding schools in fairfax.[/quote]
