I agree with you.  I teach online for UMUC.  The work load is much harder than a traditional classroom setting. [b] Most of the learning falls to the student.  There is no face to face opportunity where a student can say...I just don't understand and I'm so lost that I can't even begin to articulate what I don't understand.  Many of my students comment that they wish they had taken the class in person.
