I feel so piss poor when I read these posts. Geez. I just hit $100,000 in government and I'm 52 years old and felt good hitting $100,000!! Ha!!
That sounds like a very good salary to me. What is take home pay?
It IS a good salary. I am grateful to have a job with good benefits too. I am a fed, as well, and make around that. I don't know too many women in my neighborhood pulling in $200,000. And if they are, they don't see their kids much.
I just posted about staying in education. I make a little over $100K but the hours are good for my kids, and the benefits are fantastic. So when you look at retirement and health benefits, as well as your annual leave, your package is much better than most in private. And to be honest, as an older mother, I'd rather spend time with my kids. The money can come later, but you can't go back in time.
