Apparently you have no idea what the Big Ten is. Let me enlighten you.

The Big Ten includes a number of State Schools. The newest members are Maryland and Rutgers. Long time members include Purdue, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Iowa and others.

And yes, the poster is correct. James Madison is as selective as many of the schools just mentioned, despite your vitriolic nonsense.

OMG, you are using the Big Ten Conference as a measuring stick for how selective a college is and you're mentioning JMU in the same sentence as the Big Ten Conference colleges.  I certainly know what the Big Ten Conference colleges are and again ask you to cite a single source that would claim JMU in their rank. Hilarious.  [/quote]

Anyone who doesn't know what the Big Ten is has lost all credibility.

As for the claim VT/JMU ranks higher than a number of Big Ten state schools, apparently that statement is very true. According to Kiplinger, both JMU and VT rank in the top 30 of all Puiblic Schools:
