It should affect your rankings (the logic's the same), but it should affect your thinking about the options and how sure you want to be about those rankings. In the past, it wasn't unusual for parents to rethink their list as phone calls trickled in ("oh, maybe I like this better after all"). Newly, you just simply won't get such calls because you won't be on any of the waitlists below the option that comes through for you, if and when it does. One ranking consideration that may be worthwhile in the face of this: if you're truly indifferent between two options, place the likelier below/behind the less likely to increase your chance to give it another chance to think.[/quote]
