Thanks, I'm the poster of that question and felt gaslit that the answer wasn't on the MCPS website- the ParentVue/Email we got yesterday made it seem like you had to pick a program![/quote]

The email yesterday was incredibly confusing and did make it seem like everyone was supposed to pick a program like a Harry Potter sorting. Their comms are so unclear. [/quote]

And yet the email also simultaneously made it sound like no one will have to leave their home school to be in their preferred programs. Do they not even proofread their AI-written emails anymore? "Students can choose to apply to a specialized pathway in areas, such as healthcare, technology, leadership, languages or the arts. Regardless of the pathway, students will continue to attend their home high school and take part in strong academics, athletics, arts and activities."[/quote]
