I am not this harsh. I have both Target 360 and whatever the equivalent is for Walmart, so I do delivery from both. Walmart more often has lower prices so I use them more.

But if I need to go in person, I will often go to Target even if I know it will be a little more expensive. Walmart is honestly hellish. The one closest to me is an unpleasant experience from the moment you pull into the parking garage -- everything is crowded, loud, aggressively lit, and messy. There is always merchandise on the floor. It's hard to find anyone who works there if you need to ask a question. Like it's just a very unpleasant sensory experience. I went recently to buy extra Valentine's candy for a party I didn't realize my kid was having, and while I probably saved a few dollars over what I would have paid at Target, it wasn't worth it. Just being in there for 15 minutes gave me a headache.[/quote]

I refer to Walmart as the ninth circle of hell! There are certain items I have gone there for (like finding out at the last second my kid needs black slacks for a choir performance) and every moment is torture. From pulling into the parking lot looking at revolting people, the smell of weed hitting you as you open your car door, rolling in with the sticky cart to a total mess, the migraine-inducing lighting, Sean Paul “Temperature” pounding into my skull over the PA, the line extending halfway through the store.
Target is supposed to be the calm and soothing alternative. I’m not treasure hunting at Target.
But 20 years ago it was the best. If you needed a black turtleneck to complete an outfit that was your go to. I even got an angora sweater there. So many cute outfits assembled at Target! [/quote]

I live in a really nice area and my Target is such a pleasant experience. I head over to Walmart which is only a block away and it's like a whole new world. The crazies come out of the woodwork there. No one is fully dressed and most are wearing pajamas. Someone is always screaming at someone else. Kids getting smacked over the head, spouses screaming at each other. A lot of domestic abuse going on everywhere. People are also so RUDE. They block the aisles with shopping carts, run into your ankles with their electric scooters. The shelves are always 1/3 bare with no workers in sight. It's insanity. I wonder where these people even come from. My grocery stores are pleasant, as is every other experience in my city.

If Target doesn't carry essentials, I'm ordering online at Walmart or Amazon. [/quote]

😂 If I need something from Walmart (sometimes they have more cleaning supply options or something like that) I plan to go very early on a Saturday hoping that all the gross people are sleeping in. The parking lot is insane and all the spaces are angled so that it seems you're always going the wrong way. The cashiers are very nice but the other customers are something else. I want to know like PP does where on earth do these people come from? I just try to get in and out. [/quote]
