DP. There’s a lot that goes into making a movie and selecting talent that is not just “he or she is the best”. Leo seems pleasant and easy to work with (contrast to Christian bale who is very talented but difficult) and a lot of his movies bring in money. There’s also who is the agent. There’s also are they a race that is marketable to the international market etc. Leo is very consistent though in that he does not pick movies that are terrible and always does at least a serviceable job in everything. But to say that he’s the best when he doesn’t even really have to compete with any black or Asian actors or even any openly gay white actors is a stretch. [/quote]
