It was really sobering to think that she had to meet with the families who lost children due to terrorism and then psych herself up for a fun show. I don't know how she does it.
It was prob done for viewership. She didn’t have to meet them right before her show; could've met them another day and time 🤷‍♀️
I don’t see this as particularly heroic. Social workers, counselors, nurses, even teachers do this all the time. They have to deal with a super sad case and then go be happy with the next person. More frequently than just once but several times in a week.
I have all the respect for what those people do, but it's really not the same as having to go from meeting with victims to doing a 3.5 hour energetic show where thousands of people have cameras on you and are expecting you to be super positive because they've saved their money for this one night. The teacher is the closest because eyes are on them but they are not always expected to do a happy clappy show. I'm a lawyer who's dealt with child abuse case and then gone into other meetings, and it's just not the same as having to perform like that.
Uh yeah as a teacher you have to go do the clappy happy show and yes 3 hours before you go home from your lunch break sounds just about right.. Do you really think you call CPS about the kid who has burns all over his body and then go back to the Kindergartener’s and don’t dance and sing? Of course you do, that is your job. SHe had a stadiums worth of people cheering to help her forget, many people go clubbing/dancing to “blow off steam” It is the same thing from an emotional perspective. According to her, her money is made by showing her fans that all people “even billionaires” feel the same emotions and the same way. She writes songs about that you can relate to. In your response, you are showing that isn’t true. Because for fans like you and most of her fans, her money is actually made by getting you to buy into the fact that she is Supra human and an idol. IF you believed she was a regular person with regular emotions, you would see that this wasn’t a super amazing event. People overcome this stuff all the time to make the world work.
