As a sole breakfast offering? That's so bad for all the people with elevated H1C. The worst is that most adults in the US have abnormal levels of H1C and they don't even know it. It leads to diabetes. I know you're worried about being exhausted from your Thanksgiving efforts, but please do something else for the adults (hard boiled eggs? yogurt?). We can't expect to have European or Japanese longevities if we think multiple doughuts for breakfast is a normal thing.
It’s not a normal thing. It’s a once a year, quick and easy thing. I wouldn’t eat a donut but I would have no problem if OP served them and my kids ate them. They’re not getting donuts regularly and it won’t kill them to have them on this occasion.
Your kids must live in a bubble if they aren't getting donuts regularly. Kids are bombarded with junk constantly. it's always a birthday, celebration, special event, holiday, just this one time treat, etc.
