I really don’t. Look at this forum: so many [b]meaningful and executable suggestions[/b] that are often appear as apparent low-hanging fruits that a superintendent can realize and do benefits. A reputable high-school principal within MCPS (often also has a PhD in education) can do a better job.

I get people are reluctant for BOE position as it pays so little. But sup’s salary range is descent for this area, and MC is filled with highly educated people. Why are out of candidate choices?[/quote]

Look, I'm not always a fan of the Central Office, but you have got to be kidding me about the "meaningful" suggestions that originate on DCUM. They are consistently suggestions that are ignorant of (or ignore) labor law, educational best practices, or basic economic realities. They benefit one school or part of the county.

I've probably seen 3 suggestions in more than a decade on this website that are actually meaningful and actionable, rather than some variation of "why don't they just swap HS and ES start times?"
