Details of Floyd's Criminal History

Armed Robbery Conviction: 
In 2007, Floyd was part of a group that entered an apartment while posing as water department workers. Floyd held a pistol to a woman's stomach while the other men searched for items to steal.

Drug Possession Conviction:
In 2004, Floyd was convicted for possessing crack cocaine. The conviction was based largely on the testimony of officer Gerald Goines, who later faced scrutiny for allegedly falsifying evidence in other cases. In 2021, the district attorney of Harris County, Texas, sought a posthumous pardon for this conviction because of Goines' lack of credibility, though the recommendation was withdrawn for procedural issues.

Other Charges:
Floyd also faced charges for drug possession and trespass, serving jail time on multiple occasions for these offenses between 1997 and 2005. 
Early Life and Drug Issuesa
After returning from college, Floyd became involved with drugs, though he was not considered a heavy addict as he still held down a job.

So Floyd was not a good person.  He doesn't become some sort of saint just because he died.  His death, like Charlie's, was tragic.  And his killer is rightfully in jail.  Did his death support such destructive riots?  No.  By the way "that is how he spoke about the dead?" you say.  What are you writing about Charlie who has never committed armed robbery?  Oh the irony and hypocrisy!
