That is why all (or almost all) homes in Georgetown have functional shutters -- to maintain architectural integrity The fact that you say that fake shutters signal some sort of evolution or improvement ("not 1880 anyome") , and that having fake shutters is the same (or even superior) to having functional shutters, and that you didn't get PP's criticism about using the same shutter size for windows of different sizes, is sad.
