Yes, there was prohibition, and they probably had illegal hooch, but drinking liquor or making a small personal batch wasn't illegal. It was the sale and manufacture of booze that was illegal. Given how skeletal Alex is and that this is her first pregnancy, it isn't so surprising that she's not showing -- assuming she didn't miscarry somewhere off camera. [/quote]
