Nope, he did not file an asylum claim. He was seen in immigration court and the judge ruled he cannot be deported to El Salvador. The irony is he could have been legally deported anywhere else on earth, that’s how incompetent this admin is. [/quote]

“ Abrego Garcia in 2019 he was served a notice to appear in immigration court. An immigration judge did find him to be removable from the U.S. — but granted him a withholding of removal, which barred the U.S. government from deporting him to El Salvador specifically.”

In their rush to be cruel they have—once again— failed to be competent. If a third country took Garcia there would be no legal wrongdoing here.
