I'm not bothered in the least that foreign political activists are being called out and potentially expelled. They were not admitted to this country for that purpose. If their reason for being here is not what they claimed when seeking residence, seems reasonable enough to eject them.
There is nothing in the Constitution that bars non citizens from peaceful assembly or denying them free speech You are a deplorable MAGA.
And there's nothing in the Constitution which prevents the government from deciding which non-citizens will be granted the privilege of residence in the U.S. The pro-Hamas crowd is finally on the wrong side of the government, and their non-citizen adherents will have to do their propagandizing from some other country where their speech finds a more receptive audience.
DP Every time you repeat the false claim that protesters are “pro-Hamas”, you fortify the resolve of others to make sure karma is especially unkind to you and those like you (i.e., POS liars).
DP. Taal: “Glory to the resistance”, posted after 10/7. Khalil’s organization (CUAD): 10/7 was “a moral, military and political victory”. They are unambiguously pro-Hamas.
What percentage of those people protesting have ever even heard of those two? I had to look them up.
You mean the spokesperson for the organization behind virtually all of the Columbia protests and a leader of the Cornell protests? Both of whom have been featured on the front page of the N.Y. Times? I’d say 100% of people who pay any attention whatsoever.
You’re batshit insane if you think you can convince anyone that 100% of the protesters support Hamas. You couldn’t convince anyone outside your echo chamber that even 1% support Hamas. Hamas, like you, is entirely contemptible.
Shockingly, you missed the point in its entirety. No one claimed that 100% of protesters support Hamas. But 100% of people who are following this issue know who Taal and Khalil are.
I’m following very closely “the issue … meaning, the conflict in the ME. I’m not following the protests here in the U.S. for the purpose of creating a roster of who is or isn’t part of the protests. I’m sure YOU are obsessed with their names and everything you can scrounge up about them because doxxing seems second nature to you, but nearly everyone else is focused on “the issue”, not on ensuring that a purity test keeps out idiots or people who have other opinions with which we disagree. Individuals like YOU want to tar everyone who is protesting this issue, and YOU desperately want to discredit the protest itself. That’s why you resort to provoking the protesters and even sending individuals into the protest to engage in extremist acts and speech. Nobody is fooled by those old, tired tactics.
As if the current administration is likely to be swayed by protests. The only thing likely to happen is that measures to suppress them will increase, not diminish, and the causes they represent will be seen as even more deserving of government scrutiny. It's not like the government doesn't know that some people don't like some policies; the protests are not going to suddenly bring enlightenment and course corrections.
