Trump is a generationally clever politician. He’s picked an issue where wealthy white Democrat elites are on the opposite side of the rest of nearly the whole country, and he’s using it as a way of demonstrating that the Democratic Party doesn’t listen to its voters, is out of touch, etc. So when he is demanding an apology, people see him as demanding an apology from a bunch of wealthy elitists who believe they are better than everyone else. They don’t see it as bullying. They see it as him fighting for the underdog against power structures and people that hate them.

This is impossible for most DCUM Democrats to understand, however, because it requires them to admit that they are wrong, and not superior people. It requires them understanding that their adherence to political orthodoxy and fundamentalism has alienated large swaths of the voting population. It requires progressives to admit that they are as religious as the fundamentalist Christians, just on different issues. And that’s never going to happen, so you will remain puzzled that most of the rest of the country doesn’t see this quote the way you do. [/quote]

This is utter BS. It’s the lies that Fox News, MAGAs, and Trump push to justify their shitty vote that now has consequences. Anonymous has just started publishing the proof, including video proof, that Trump & Musk cheated and stole the election.  The videos were where they bragged about doing it, but the right wing talk host and then Fox News, cut it out.

This “you think you’re better than us so I’m justified in doing this (evil ) thing“ is just what abusers do.

The Democratic Party is the ONLY party that is listening to the average person. Plenty of Democrats are religious as well. MAGAs just don’t like it that someone could have different religious belief from MAGA crazy Evangelical Christian white facists.

Trump didn’t like that the Maine governor was a WOMAN who stood up to him. She owes him NO apology. Trump owes HER an apology.

Trump isn’t smart or clever. He’s a bully that was rich and spoiled from birth. Trump punched a teacher in Highschool and instead of being charged, his Dad “talked to” the judge and sent him to an upstate Private School. Any black person who punched out a teacher would have been in jail 20 years. Trump LIED to get out of military service and brags that other military service people are “suckers”. He declared bankruptcy on just about every single one of his companies. In fact, he was defaulting on loans, was broke, and commercial realestate companies disliked him. He frequently cheated small and medium sized contractors out of the money he owed them for work already contractually completed. There is so much more.

The person who looks down on people is TRUMP, and now his cult like followers who feverishly give him money, just like the big mega church pastors that became super rich a few decades ago.
