These are far more prevalent than ebola, and, although less deadly than polio, they leave people with lifelong illness that diminishes the ability to be independent and productive if untreated. Because we live in a world with global travel, the more prevalent these illnesses are globally, the more likely it is they will reach the US. [/quote]
