Here’s my prediction: OPM sends out mass firing emails without any basis in law and without conformance to existing RIF and other protocols. They then use the Treasury payments system and stop direct deposits. It’s going to be f#cking chaos. The courts will be swamped with lawsuits. We are effectively witnessing the absolute neutering of the legislative branch of the government. Laws passed by Congress are now meaningless. It’s pure nihilism. They’ll also use control of the Treasury to stop federal transfer payments to California and other blue states. They will demand the resignation of Newsom and hold federal funds hostage over it.
You mean we are effectively witnessing the absolute neutering of the executive branch of the government. Most departments and agencies are in the executive branch.
Executive branch doesn’t get to override laws and regulations Willy nilly. Much of what is happening is absolutely illegal.
Oh? You mean like ignoring immigration law? Like removing the “entire investigative team” of the IRS from its long-running tax fraud probe of first son Hunter Biden? I could go on, but suffice it to say you have a very selective memory.
Biden deported more people than Trump. Hunter Biden was literally indicted in tax fraud and had to repay. Prosecutorial discretion is a long standing element of common law. What does any of this have to do with the federal government ignoring employment and contract law? The Administrative Procedures Act?
\ Uhhhhhh NO. Hunter Biden got a sweetheart deal and then a judge came to their senses and said N F W. Do not rewrite history. https://www.dailysignal.com/2023/06/21/hunter-bidens-sweet-plea-deal/
Tax charges are misdemeanors. It’s in your own link. Rarely do folks do jail time for under payment of taxes. People go to jail when it’s a long running scheme (like drug dealing or money laundering).
You mean like the Biden family setting up 20 shell companies and laundering money from Russia, China, Romania, and Ukraine through them?
