[/quote] I live in McLean and know that intersection well. There are various different people that panhandle there. It does seem new in the last couple of years. A decade ago I didn’t see people there, or even around Tysons. [/quote] I used to routinely see the same panhandler at an intersection in Tysons in the mid/late 90s. Then one day he popped up in South Arlington. He was very distinctive (african with one arm and horrible burn scars. he never wore a shirt while panhandling) so it was pretty clearly same guy. It's always been around the area. There were others too, just less memorable.[/quote]
