Saw this directly from Trump not doge https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-challenges-union-deal-remote-work-policies-federal-workers/# I am not union so no lawsuits to drag out - just a remote employee with stellar performance. Besides looking for jobs in private sector what else can I do? Have been a remote employee since pre pandemic. You all have been sane in your commentary about doge but it seems that all hope is lost with it coming from Trump now. I really love my job and I’d move back if it wasn’t for my kids and schools.
Elon’s going to find out pretty quickly that sending people to Mars will be so much easier than sending them back to their desks.
Good, I do not want them back at their desks, I want their positions eliminated.
I am not a Fed, but I have a serious question…why do you want their positions removed? How f**ked up is your own life that you are salivating at the idea of people losing their livelihood? What difference does it make to you or I as to what is their work location? Frankly, all these comments coming from people wanting Feds in office etc etc are coming from a section of population that is not happy with their lives and the only thing that makes such people happy is seeing others in misery. These are real families, real lives we are discussing here, these Feds are good, productive members of society. Have some empathy and respect for their work or life circumstances. Also, spare me the drivel about waste and abuse in government, if you were serious about government spending then you wouldn’t have voted in a bankrupt billionaire who added 9 trillion to debt just so his 0.1% buddies could get even richer. It’s because of stupid people like you workers are losing protections and work/life balance, you all are too eager to lick the boots of the billionaire class. For what? I can’t figure out.
