I absolutely love Wicked, but the run time is outrageous. 2 hours, 40 min- plus with previews will likely be 3 hours. Honestly, I couldn’t even do that at home much less in a theatre. I don’t like Cynthia at all. She should stick to stage productions. I’m curious about Arianna in this because she got her start on Broadway. I will just wait to hear what the non-paid critics say.
The NY Times gave Cynthia a rave review and called her the best thing about the movie.
Paid critic.
Lol. So you value some rando whose expertise isn't compensated by a trusted publication. Got it.
This is the kind of person who says, "Yeah, I know the long-time Washington Post restaurant critic said it's terrible, but the Yelp ratings are great! So, we're going to Founding Farmers tonight!"
Not that poster, but… I mean the professional food & movie critics often have very different tastes than the general public. I’m not that sophisticated. Think of how often movies get poor critic reviews but do very well at the box office. And food critics would turn up their noses at some of the most popular restaurants.
