Socks - sounds boring, but Bombay’s or Smartwool - even the mid calf Nikes that are trending with the youth
Shoes - a nice pair of name brand sneakers is often a splurge if they walk a lot. Similarly, if they are older, Oofos sandals are so comfy but so pricey, my dad would never buy on his own.
Useful name brand items - my mom travels a lot but never splurges in herself. I bought her the lulu lemon belt bag for travel and she Is obsessed, especially bc her friends all have dupes. [/quote]
