It is not extremely rare and it is not always for a catastrophic reason. As has been shown over and over on this board, third trimester abortions have been had over things like fights with a boyfriend to financial issues to delay in seeking care. No matter how much you want what you say to be true, it simply isn’t. [/quote]

How often does that happen after week 28 (beginning of third trimester) vs terminating earlier?  Where are the clinics that will terminate after week 28? Even when it’s a life threatening issue it’s hard to find a clinic or doctor who will terminate at that point as opposed to doing a c section or inducing. There are maybe 2 or 3 clinics at most who offer such a procedure in all of the US. [/quote]

No, that’s not “the reality.” The reality is that third trimester abortions are performed for the saddest reasons possible, they drop off precipitously from 21-24 weeks (after the 20 week ultrasound and sometimes other tests to confirm) and I do not okunderstand why forced birthers are ducking obsessed with them.[/quote]

Because they don't have any critical thinking skills. Those babies are maybe going to survive hours or months, and the parents are going to end up medically bankrupt in many cases, impeding their ability to have another child. [/quote]
