Having a pit bull as a neighbor is a nightmare. We are a small condo community. In moves large family with a pit bull. We only have one entry door so avoided the dog is impossible. It is not only frightening but I am allergic. One cannot fathom this is what can happen in downtown DC. It must be miserable for a pit bull to be in small condo without any outdoor space. But to foist all the noise, dander and waste materials on a condo is deplorable. People must be considerate of others.
You resurrected a dead thread to claim you're allergic to "pit bulls"? "Pit bull" haters are all hyperreactive, mentally unstable fraidy cats who need to calm the eff down and mind their own business. "Noise, dander and waste materials" "foisted" on a condo? Were they throwing dog shit at the walls?! And you'd be okay with it from any other breed, just not a "pit bull" (which isn't even a breed). Anti-pit posters reveal their low intelligence near-immediately. Be considerate of others and get a hobby that isn't posting ill-informed drivel on anon boards, you spineless nosy parker.
She’s clearly allergic to dogs dummy. If you live in a condo with a shared air handling system dander will get it in. It will also end up in the carpet and on the walls.
As would a cat. Or a dandruff-haver, or simply someone who didn't dust and vacuum enough. The condo's rules don't seem to preclude owners/renters there from having a dog, so the Jesus OP needs to find a way to fortify themselves and deal with it. This doesn't belong on a pit-hate thread, it belongs on a "dumb things stupid people whinge about" thread (dummy).
Your ad hominem attack on intelligence is useless. I wouldn’t characterize myself as anti-pit bull but do like science and data. As a self proclaimed intelligent person, you must embrace the same view and have a superior education to show for it. Waiting to hear on those details. Temple Grandin, one of the foremost animal behaviorist, is long of the opinion that pit bulls are significantly more dangerous to both other animals and people than almost all other breeds. There is a reason, she relates, that 1/3 of the fatal attacks on people the past decades have come from pit bulls. Other negative statistics abound, but even if one disagrees as to the weight to give them, the statistical disparities are significant and make it difficult to argue they are illusory. I will cast my lot with Temple Grandin than someone who without basis calls people on message board in-intelligent. Maybe they just disagree? Of course Grandin concedes that poor owners play a role. But that is the point. With an animal bred for aggression which gives limited or no warning in many cases, there are not many people with specific expertise to properly handle them. How is the public to know? So in the end outcomes really matter, no matter the cause, and they are poor. Observing that data doesn’t make someone not intelligent , just observant.
