This isn’t the path I want for my own child. I don’t want the school to set low expectations that my child is supposed to magically overcome when she goes to college.

So you and others that think retakes creates bad habits can tell your kids to not do retakes. As many teachers point out, majority of kids don’t do retakes and if concerned will be unfair to your kid, then play the long game of knowing what may be unfair to your kid now will pay off later when your kid has better medical practice because they get surgeries right the first time.[/quote]
