Nobody is saying that it is, simply that the type of person who thinks that because they had to struggle financially that others should to is the same type of person who abuses others because they were abused. But thanks for proving my point exactly:

Not even close. There is no “type” of person that thinks abuse is ok. I do think that struggling to make money is what this country was founded on. My parents did and succeeded beautifully - no handouts. I think handouts do nothing but foster more dependence.

You can keep trying to make the comparison with an abusive relationship but it’s a really dumb comparison. My smooth brain gets what you’re trying to say, and I still think it’s a sh¡t comparison. [/quote]
