The bar is much higher for me to read a book than see a movie. I am an avid reader and don’t like to waste time. I got turned off by the fact that the book characters are much younger than the movie cast because apparently one of the leading men is a neurosurgeon and in the book he is like 27 which is obviously not possible given to be a neurosurgeon you have to have one millions years of school and training. It pissed me off that an author and editors could be that lazy or shallow that they let they slide. Try harder.

I’m also turned off by the cast drama. Justin seems like a good guy who worked hard. Colleen Hoover asked him to direct and star and he didn’t want to do both but she pushed him. Then when Blake and Ryan got involved Colleen totally took their side and let them take over. The cast and she seem like mean girls and super immature. He seems to be taking the high road in every interview I’ve seen.

But yea, we have a beach vacation coming up next week and I’ll go one afternoon with my teen daughter to watch it. My other daughter and husband are not interested at all. Will be interesting to see how this does.
