He’s wildly unpopular. If she wants to win, he needs to stay away.
If he cares about the country, over his ego,  he will abide.
Also: he’s too old to campaign. He was too old for his campaign. He is still too old to campaign for her.

He can clearly finish out his term and then retire to his Delaware houses. He deserves every bit of credit for stepping in to stop Trump and turn the country around during and post COVID. History will treat him very kindly, both for his personal tragedies as well as his one term in office. Were there missteps and gaffes along the way? Of course, we are all human. He probably would like a do-over on the Thomas hearings.[/quote]
