What? Title IX covers sex based discrimination. HS volleyball players aren't losing spots to boys but to younger girls. That isn't a Title IX violation nor is age a protected class under strict scrutiny. [/quote]

Having more boys able to participate in sports than girls is a title IX violation. Fall sports are designed to be balanced. Take enough 8th graders and female students at the school no longer have the same opportunity as boys. [/quote]

NP.  Actually, no.  It may be a violation.  The number of opportunities that are required to be provided must be provided for students enrolled at that particular school.[/quote]
